I recently designed/built a website for my boyfriend's dad's band. The band was one of the originators of progressive concept-based rock and was highly active around the Scranton, PA area during 1960s and 1970s. They have just had two reunion concerts in 2007 and 2008.
This project was an exciting experience for me in several aspects. It was my first time designing and building a "public" website (vs. school projects). I used java script and a lot of fun stuff. Exposé is one thing I found that creates really cool slideshows. An example is here: http://www.glassprismband.com/pictures.
On the other hand, it was very interesting to see a form of collaboration through this project--music and poetry. The band used Edgar Allen Poe's poem "Raven" as an inspiration and composed music to it. A lot of schools in PA to this day still use their music to teach Edgar Allen Poe's work. I'm thinking to use iMovie to make a video for the song.
